Are you gaslighting yourself?
Most of us are familiar with the term – gaslighting.
We know that it’s a type of emotional abuse where the abuser uses minimisation and manipulation so that the victim or person being abused starts to question their reality.
Many people think that only narcissists gaslight people, but in truth anyone could gaslight you. And sadly, after suffering a trauma or triggering situation, a lot of people inadvertently start to gaslight themselves.
The way our thinking causes stress
Our thought patterns are what cause the majority of our stress. Are you aware of how you are thinking about the situations in your life and whether that is adding your stress?
