Are you remembering to take breaks in your day?

Today I sat in on a 2 hour online workshop, did some writing and some design work, and then I noticed that I was hungry .... AND I'd been sitting at the computer for more than 3 and half hours without a break. (Cue the 'What the...' emoji)

As I'm designing my future working life in my own business - practicing what I teach people is core to my values. I need to be self- aware and mindful not only for the beautiful people I coach but also for ME!

A Mindful Break - or taking a pause from our routine - is really important to help us be more present and not be overwhelmed by life.

So today (once I realised I'd not had a break) - I took a Mindful Break outside in the sun.

Having a mindful break isn't difficult and it is something everyone can fit in their days.

Here are just a few beautifully simple ways you can easily take a mindful break:

  1. Breathe - take 5 deep, relaxing breaths

  2. Rest - close your eyes and clear your mind

  3. Stretch - move and stretch your body

  4. Get outside - feel the sun, breathe the air, hear the sounds

  5. Take a walk - focus on how your body feels while walking.
